Maxi

For people that don't know Maxi, he came over from Cyprus with two really badly deformed legs. He had X-rays and it was recommend by two vets he be put to sleep. Both his elbows were broken and it would cost £10,000 to try to give him two elbow replacements. Anyway after many tears we decided to contact Noel Fitzpatrick. Noel did X-rays on Maxi and what he found was even more shocking and upsetting. His back was also deformed and his hips and pelvis at some point was broken and left. These injuries were either from him being knocked down or beaten. Noel did say he thinks he was beaten. Maxi had the very bad elbow replaced. The operation went very well and since then Maxi has had 8 months of rehab, he goes on a water treadmill every week but has had his last session. He is about to star on Supervet's Christmas special!!!!

This oviously costs BGP a fortune and the vets bills keep coming in for all the other dogs in our care. Please consider donating to an excellent cause for the upkeep and welfare of these amazing dogs

Please use birminghamgreyhoundprotection@yahoo.co.uk as the paypal address to donate thankyou
